| The
Malcolm X Community Mental Health Center Advisory Council
is pictured together with key officials on the Subzone
11 Program shortly before return to Chicago following
their visit and tour of inspection at the hospital. They
were accompanied by Miss Doris Lomax (far left), director
of community organization for the Chicago mental health
zone. Kneeling (left) is Dr. Dusan Gojkovich, clinical
psychiatric consultant for all Subzone 11 programs, including
the Malcolm X Community Mental Health Center. W.C. Anas
Luqman, a leader of this Council and founder of the Malcolm
X Black Hand Society, stands directly behind him and Miss
Joan Myers, director of the Singer 6 Hykelawn Program
is behind him. Mrs. Mary Goff, coordinator of the adult
area of the Guidelines administrator, is at their right.
Anthony Overton, assistant ward administrator with the
Hykelawn Program, is at far right. Members of the group
were favorably impressed and Luqman said their report
would be "very favorable". The news story was

| Manteno
State Hospital's Bowling League ended May 3, with the
Carters as champions by one-half game over Gordon's Funeral
Home team. Winners (bottom) from left are Jack Walsh (captain),

Reverend Jesse Jackson (second from left), who organized
"operation PUSH" December 25, 1971, accompanied
their 45-voice choir when they sang at Hinton Hall December
24, (1972). Following the performance, Jackson met
with (from left) John Steinmetz, deputy superintendent
in charge of programming; the Reverend Elmer Wilson who
served as master of ceremonies, and (at right) the Reverend
David Perry, Manteno State Hospital's coordinator of Religious
