The present building program will give this institution
a bad capacity of 6,400. Plans are for an ultimate capacity
of 10,000. |

Carriel
Infirmary, opened at Manteno State Hospital in September
1955, accommodates 180 patients. It was
named in memory of Dr. Henry F. Carriel, who gave many
years of distinguished service in mental hospitals in
Illinois. |
