The Manteno Project is a group of individual volunteers
interested in the history, architecture, facts and
fiction about the Manteno State Hospital. All information
on this site is obtained through research by use of
the internet, libraries, archives, personal interviews
and contributions.
The
Manteno Project is not affiliated in any way
with any town, village, city or province with the
name Manteno, Diversatech, the Veterans Administration
or any other company or person residing, owning or
operating on the former site of the Manteno State
Hospital/Manteno Mental Health Center.
The Manteno Project is not affiliated in any
way with the Manteno State Hospital, Manteno
Mental Health Center, the mental health care system,
or any person living or dead or any group of persons,
tribes or indiginous peoples named "Manteno".
